Proclamations

Explore resources from Proclamations 2014 to 2024 that are related to the former review process.

In the former process, the State Board of Education (SBOE) issued a proclamation that included subject areas and grade levels or courses to be reviewed, a schedule of adoption procedures, requirements, and instructions for providing electronic files for braille and large-type materials. The proclamations were named for the year the materials would become available for classroom implementation.

The SBOE requires that TEA and all Education Service Centers (ESCs) maintain a digital copy of all adopted instructional materials and make them available for public review. The public may request an appointment with TEA (via Help Desk) or an ESC to review the materials.
